Click on the Notes button at the bottom of the Task Screen to access the Notes window. The Notes section is a convenient place to keep your own notes, etc. as you proceed through the course. Your notes will be available across units in the course, so use this feature to keep track of anything you might need to know later.
To view an existing note, click the arrow button to the left of the note. You are now seeing the detail for this note (below).
Notes Details
To return to the list, click the Show All button at the top.
The title of the note (Term) is the first blank, and the note itself is displayed below that.
If you have a large number of notes, you may wish to assign keywords to help you find notes in the future. To assign keywords to a note, simply type them into the Key Words box, separated by commas.
To create a new note, click the New button at the top. Assign a title and enter text in the large blank, enter your definition and any keywords, then click Save Changes to save your note. To delete a note, click the Delete Note button at the bottom. NOTE: you cannot undo deleting a note.
The Show All button takes you back to List view so you can see all of the notes at once.
To skip to the next note, click the > (next) button in the ‘Navigation Palette’. Likewise, you can go to the previous entry using the < (previous) button. To go to the first or last notes in the list, use the |<< (first) and >>| (last) buttons. Directly above these arrows is an indicator showing which entry number you are looking at, followed by the total number of entries in the glossary.
Finding Notes To find another entry in the glossary, click the Find button at the top. Enter a word or words
to find in the boxes where it would appear, and press the Find button below (or press the Return key) to start the search. Once the find has been performed, you will see a list of entries that matched your find criterion (if any).
NOTE: If no notes match the terms you entered, try widening your search by typing less characters in the boxes on the find screen, or by entering text in fewer boxes.
To once again see the entire list of notes, click the Show All button at the top. To return to the main Task screen, click the Return to CLM Unit button.
