If you see an icon with a crack in it where the video should be:
this indicates that you need to install the quicktime plugin. Click here to get the download (choose the free version). Now shut down and restart your browser (Internet Explorer, Firefox).
If your browser freezes (stops responding) when you go to a page containing a video:
• Update to the latest version of your browser, or try a different browser to access the page (if you are having difficulty with Internet Explorer, try Firefox)
• Install the Quicktime plugin, even if it is already installed. This will ensure that you have the most recent version, for best security and compatibility.
Also, be sure that Javascript is enabled in the web browser that you are using, and that any popup blockers are turned off.
If you are on a school network on Windows 7 and the videos are not working: • Uninstall Quicktime and use Windows Media player to play the videos
• Have an administrator give all users read rights on the 'Local Low' folder ( C:\Users\Administrator\AppData\LocalLow ) so they have permissions for browser add-ins. This has been useful in cases where there are download restrictions for non-admin users of school computers.
